Fine Foods Division
Importation and distribution of dried fruit, the activity undertaken by the Jacobsberg family when they still lived and worked in Germany, gave rise to the foundation of Aurora in Brazil in 1946. Aurora opened up and developed this market segment to become the absolute leader in dried fruit importing and marketing in Brazil, but realized that the sale of bulk products would be easily invaded by competitors. Thus, in 1966, Werner Jacobsberg expanded the company’s businesses by securing exclusive distribution rights for international brands such as Lindt chocolates and Tabasco sauces, which - after more than 40 years - are still key brands for Aurora.
Along the years, Aurora introduced distinguished international brands into the Brazilian market. Some of these are Campbell’s soups, Casa Fiesta Tex-Mex products, Bahlsen cookies, Twinings and Celestial Seasonings teas, Haribo candies, Maille and French’s mustards, Blue Diamond almonds, Riso Inverni (Gallo) risotto rice, and Bonne Maman preserves, among others.
The Fine Foods Division was established in 2010, with an experienced Marketing team, consolidated partnerships with suppliers, and the challenge of having to find new growth paths.
The food portfolio consists of 18 brands, including Sweets, Specialties and Salty Snacks.
Aurora’s commitment is to develop the potential of each brand in the Brazilian market, by always offering quality service to our customers and quality products to our consumers.
